Privacy Policy
How Linehaul collects, uses and protects your information · Effective 4 June 2026
Linehaul (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides transport operations software to New Zealand freight and logistics businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles.
1. Information we collect
We collect information needed to run your operation, including:
- Account and contact details for administrators and staff (name, email, phone, role).
- Driver details required for dispatch and compliance (name, licence and endorsement data, inductions).
- Operational data you enter — runs, trailers, ferry sailings, load plans, PODs and reports.
- Technical data such as device, browser and log information used to keep the service secure.
2. How we use it
We use your information to deliver and improve the platform: scheduling and dispatch, driver notifications, ferry tracking, reporting, invoicing exports, support, and security. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sharing and integrations
Information is shared only as needed to run the service — for example with sub-processors that host data or send SMS/email on our behalf, and with integrations you enable (such as Xero or EROAD). These providers are bound to protect your data and use it only for the agreed purpose.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored on secure, access-controlled infrastructure. We apply role-based access, encryption in transit, and audit trails on sensitive actions. We retain information for as long as your account is active or as required to meet legal and compliance obligations.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. Account administrators can manage most records directly in the platform. To make a request or raise a concern, contact us using the details below.
